These regions are classified into three (or four) categories (clusters) according to their patterns of development. First category is regions where oil and gas is a driving force of their development. Second is regions where their development are based on other mineral resources. Third is regions that are taking advantage of their foreign economic relations with neighboring countries. Some policy analyses both at federal and regional levels are made as well.
