The meetings addressed key areas in advancing the Circumpolar Studies Program, such as course evaluation tools, the revision of the core courses and utilizing the opportunities of the north2north mobility program.  The group also discussed establishing collaboration agreements amongst UArctic member institutions to regularize the principles, roles and expectations of the Circumpolar Studies Program. 
"I was very impressed with the cooperative and visionary approaches of both the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences," says Poelzer.
 
There are currently 117 students at Bodø University College taking UArctic programming, including 20 students from Russia.  Poelzer notes that "the outstanding work of Bodo University College has set a high standard for internationalization in post-secondary education through multi-lateral cooperation."
