ACUNS is looking for abstracts of papers and poster presentations on various topics, including alternative energy, climate change and meteorology, aquatic research, environemental contaminants, glacierology, land claims and social justice, among many others.
 
The intent of the conference, held every three years, is to showcase student research that has a Northern scope, with special emphasis on interdisciplinary research. The primary mandate of the event is to provide students with effective ways to facilitate and communicate research objectives between the scientific community and northern residents, in a climate of respect and promotion of diversity.
 
Research presentations will be in a variety of forms, including before an audience, by poster display, artwork of other media. ACUNS is expecting participants from all around the circumpolar world.
 
Abstracts can be submitted online at http://acuns2007.onware.ca until May 15, 2007.
