Running from 27 November 2009 to 15 January 2010, the exhibit features photographs from the two-year expedition of the schooner Tara, part of France's activities during the International Polar Year. The schooner was designed to drift within Arctic sea ice, much as Nansen's Fram attempted one hundred years ago. The event also gave the opportunity to discuss France's interests in Arctic policy with Arctic Centre scientists, and the Finnish Arctic Ambassador, Hannu Halinen.
