UArctic Shared Voices Magazine 2009 has been published and will be distributed at the Arctic Council Ministerial meeting in Tromso, Norway.

This year's magazine focusses on UArctic Thematic Networks, as drivers of UArctic activities and future direction. Most of the Thematic Networks have an article published in Shared Voices, highlighting special projects, faculty or students, or what they hope to accomplish.

Shared Voices 2009 also features new Student Success Stories, a forward by Sinikka Bohlin, president of The Nordic Council, and articles from Douglas Nakashima of UNESCO  and H.S.H Prince Albert of Monaco.

UArctic Thematic Networks foster issues-based cooperation within networks which are focused but flexible enough to respond quickly to topical Arctic issues. They form a natural framework for development of UArctic education and research providing an optimal structure for increasing the knowledge generation and sharing across the North.
