The Arctic Circle provides an open, democratic forum for discussion and cooperation on Arctic Affairs. Interest in the Arctic Circle is growing. A number of governments, corporations, universities, organizations, associations, think tanks and others are already preparing their participation for the second Assembly.

Sessions will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders from around the world, and participants are invited to interact at roundtables, receptions and special events in the world's northernmost capital city.

This year's plenary sessions include topics such as:
– The Arctic in 2035
– Arctic Security
– Business Across the Arctic
– Arctic Ice – Global Climate
– Indigenous voices from the Arctic
– Arctic Energy

The 2013 Arctic Circle Assembly was attended by 1200 participants from over 40 nations, and this year the event will reconvene October 31 to November 2, 2014, at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Reykjavík, and in 2015 the event will be held in Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
