When: 3-7 August 2015
Where: Blachford lake lodge, Yellowknife, Canada
Registration deadline: 1 May 2015

The main goal is to prepare young scientists for particular challenges related to conducting science in the High North. Other goals are to create an arena where these young scientists may interact with senior scientists who are experienced in High North issues, in addition to building networks with other international students that have similar challenges. Throughout the week, senior scientists will be available to supervise on specific requests the students might have.

The main topics of the course will be human health related to environmental impacts, lifestyle choices, food security, climate change and practical statistical methods.

The summer school itself is free of charge, except there might be a personal contribution linked to travel. Please contact your countries representative for booking and details. Participation is restricted and registration closes on May 1, 2015.
