Participants at Arctic Frontiers are welcome to attend a special event, Arctic Frontiers Plus: Arctic Council 20 Years, on January 25, 2016 in Auditorium 1 at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, organized by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.



The 4th China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium will take place in Rovaniemi, Finland, June 6-9, 2016. The meeting is hosted by the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland and organized by the China-Nordic Arctic Research Centre (CNARC). The call for abstracts is now open, with a deadline of February 25, 2016.





The Joint Committee for Nordic research councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) has opened a call for workshops in order to promote the development of new research areas and programmes within the humanities and social sciences in the Nordic countries. The deadline for this call is 23 February 2016.



The Calotte Academy 2016 will be organized from 30 May to 5 June, 2016 in Rovaniemi and Inari, Finland; Apatity and Murmansk, Russia; Kirkenes and Neiden, Norway. The theme of the travelling symposium 2016 will be ‘Resilience related to Sustainable Development in Globalization’. The Call for Abstracts is now open.
