Scenic Boat Cruise on the St Lawrence River

Location: Quai Chouinard (Croisière Louis Jolliet), 10 rue Dalhousie, Québec, QC G1K 4B2

Time: 15:00 – 17:30 o’clock

We will set sail on the St. Lawrence river from Old Quebec to Montmorency Falls aboard the Louis Jolliet, making a stops at Île d'Orléans and enjoying a breathtaking view of the Château Frontenac. A tour-guide will point out the sites and provide information about the history of Quebec City. Food is available for purchase at the on-board bistro.

Panel Discussion on Sustainable Development

Location: Pavillion Désjardins 4512, Université Laval

Time: 14:00 – 16:00 o’clock

The discussion will be facilitated by Lars Kullerud, President of UArctic, and feature a diverse panel of experts from different fields. 

The panel discussion will focus on different issues related to sustainable development and climate changes in the northern and Arctic regions. Audience members will have the opportunity to raise questions and make comments following the panel discussion.

Indigenous-themed Social Evening

Location: Musée de la Civilisation de Québec, 85 Rue Dalhousie, Québec city (Québec) G1K 8R2

Time: 18:00 – 20:00 o’clock

Spend time networking with fellow northern researchers and be entertained by Inuit artists. The Musée de la Civilisation is located in the historic district of Old Quebec and is surrounded by wonderful restaurants and boutique hotels.

Evening highlights include:

  • Cocktail hour,
  • Exhibition on First Nations and Inuit in the 21st Century,
  • Traditional Inuit throat singing and drumming

Banquet at the Salle des Promotions

Location: Salle des Promotions at Séminaire de Québec, 1, rue des Remparts, Québec city (Québec) G1R 5L7

Time: 18:00 – 22:00 o’clock

Join us for a marvelous banquet dinner during the final evening of the UArctic Assembly. The event will be held at the Séminaire du Québec, which was the original location of Université Laval. Participants will be treated to a cocktail hour and a three course meal featuring northern and boreal products.
