Three master’s degree programs at the University of Lapland, Finland will be open for applications December 1, 2016 − January 31, 2017. The programs are Arctic Art and Design, Media Education, and Tourism, Culture and International Management. Studies start in September 2017.



Global environmental change calls urgently for new perspectives, practices and fresh imaginations. The book Interventions explores new possibilities for visualizing environmental change and introduces innovative ways for communicating environmental change and raising public awareness on environmental issues.

The 4th biennial 2017 Arctic Energy Summit will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on September 18-20, 2017. Hosted by Institute of the North and Finland Ministry of Economy and Employment. Call for Presentations: Expressions of interest encouraged by January 18, 2017.

The Arctic Cooperation Programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers has opened up its call for project applications for financial support in 2017 to new project proposals. Approximately 6 mio. DKK will be allocated for this call. The deadline for applications is January 23 2017.
