Activities in 2025

  • Nord University Summer School & Course "Sustainable Blue Growth in the High North".
    • The one-week intensive course uncovers a sustainable blue economy in the context of Northern Norway. The course is activity-based with company visits and field trips to provide insights into how regional marine and maritime-related industries achieve blue growth in balance with environmental sustainability and for the benefit of local communities.
      In 2025, the course gathered 19 students from different countries such as China, Japan, the US, Germany, Poland, Turkey and many others. Read the news about the summer school & course here.

  • BlueConnect: An Ocean Economy Collaboration Platform for Arctic Communities
    • Project proposal "BlueConnect: An Ocean Economy Collaboration Platform for Arctic Communities" for the Sustainable Development Working Group of the Arctic Council. This project was endorsed by the Arctic Council’s Sustainable Development Working Group. This initiative will bring Arctic communities together to share knowledge and promote sustainable ocean economy development across borders.
