Founded in 1983, the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) is a French-language university and member of the Université du Québec network, with an influence that extends far beyond the region's borders.
Spread across four campuses and three centres, with a presence as far north as Northern Quebec and Nunavik, UQAT trains more than 7,000 students each year, including more than 800 international students. It offers more than 160 programs of study, including several distance learning courses, meeting the evolving needs of professional circles and communities.
