north2north Recognizes Long-standing Program Team Member Lene Oftedal
"Lene has been a real champion for our program," says Mona Johnson, Chair of the north2north Program, in her thank you speech to Lene Oftedal, a member of the north2north Program Team representing the Arctic governments, in Tampere on December 12, 2007.
Lene Oftedal is stepping down from her UArctic role as she will be seconded from her post at the Norwegian government to DG 22 in the European Commission starting in March 2008. The north2north Program Team met in Tampere in conjunction with Norden's Developing Joint Programmes and Degrees in Nordic and Baltic Countries Seminar. The program's relationship to other UArctic programs, in particular the Thematic Networks and the new evolving Graduate Area, as well as program marketing were among the issues that the Program Team discussed.
