The 39th EUCEN Conference 2010, 27-29 May 2010, Rovaniemi, Finland

eucenA warm welcome to the 39th EUCEN conference to be held in Rovaniemi, Finland on 27-29 May 2010. The major theme of the conference is Lifelong Learning for the New Decade.
The EUCEN 2010 organising committee welcomes proposals for workshops which present innovative and creative ideas and approaches in lifelong learning under the following themes:

  • Lifelong learning, universities and socio-economic approaches (e.g. meeting the educational needs of excluded groups through higher education; lifelong learning and social problems, unemployment, etc).
  • University and its role in facilitating innovations in lifelong learning at local, regional or international level – theories, methods and approaches. Educational relationships and teachers/learners.
  • Lifelong learning and the environment (e.g. psychosocial welfare, climate change, sustainable consumption, ethical business practice, etc.)

Deadline for abstracts: 15 January 2010
Notification of acceptanbe by: 15 February 2010

The European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) is the largest European multi-disciplinary association in University Lifelong Learning (ULLL). The network was founded in 1991 and is registered in Belgium as an international non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation. It has 212 members from 42 countries.
