UArctic at the UNESCO World Conference on Education in Paris 5-8 July, 2009

UNESCOThe UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education:The New Dynamics of Higher Education and Research for Societal Change and Development will be held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on July 5-8, 2009. Some 1,200 participants are expected at the event, which was previously organized in 1998.
Arctic issues have not before been formally on UNESCO's agenda. However, as a follow-up of the Monaco Workshop, organized by UNESCO and HRH Prince Albert of Monaco, UNESCO has invited UArctic to be present at the WCHE and present at the session on 'Partnership for Institutional Capacity- Building'. UArctic is represented by Vice President Administration Outi Snellman.
