Position Announcement: Funds Manager, The University of the Arctic (UArctic)
The University of the Arctic (UArctic) invites applications for a fixed-term three-year position of Funds Manager.
Founded in 2001, the University of the Arctic is a cooperative network of over 120 universities, colleges, and other organisations committed to higher education and research in the North. The central administration of the network is handled by the UArctic International Secretariat, located at the University of Lapland, Rovaniemi, Finland. The primary responsibilities of the International Secretariat are to coordinate all internal and external relations, provide support services to all governance bodies and to members, manage network information services, and act as the central UArctic financial management office to support all fundraising activities. UArctic is looking for applicants who are results-oriented individual with experience in the area of fiscal management, with well developed financial literacy and numeracy skills. In addition, applicants should have demonstrated leadership ability, and be able to work well with individuals at all levels and collaboratively develop relationships with diverse constituencies.

To fulfil general competence requirements, applicants should have:
- A Master’s degree or equivalent, with a major in accounting, economics or similar
- 3 years experience in the area of fiscal management, preferably within an academic setting.
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications. Experience with fundraising software systems or relational database applications an asset.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with knowledge of Finnish desirable.
