Taking Responsibility for Your Sustainability – Alberta to host international conference on responsible tourism

The International Centre for Responsible Tourism Canada, Inc. (ICRT CANADA) will be hosting the 5th International
Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations (RTD5) in Edmonton, June 27-29, 2011 at the University of Alberta Lister Centre.
The
conference will explore the themes of Access for All,
Indigenous Tourism, Polar Tourism, Governance and Local Economic Development in Developed Countries.
Case studies and experts from around the world will be sharing their research and initiatives on each of these themes (please see attached program).
A concurrent Youth Conference on Responsible Tourism will also take place on June 27, 2011. The Youth Conference will introduce and engage students aged 16+ in responsible tourism themes and address the role of youth in developing a responsible tourism industry.
