Two events on the future of the Arctic, 2-3 Dec 2014, University of Helsinki, Finland

The Science Corner of the University of Helsinki organizes two panel discussions on the future of the Arctic on Dec 2-3, 2014 in which experts will focus on current environmental and business-related issues in the Arctic. The events are organized in collaboration with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

The topic of the first panel discussion on 2 December is the Arctic environment from different angles, such as the effects of climate change; decreasing sea ice and its effects; and oil spills in the Arctic.

The second panel discussion on 3 December deals with business in the Arctic, and on whose terms and responsibility business will be conducted in the future.

Both events will be broadcasted live on Tiedekulma Live.
