H2020-SC5-2016-2017 Greening the Economy

The European Commission Horizon 2020: Societal Challenges is now inviting proposals, under the Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials work programme for its H2020-SC5-2016-2017 Greening the Economy Call. The first deadline for this call is 8 March 2016.
The objective of the Societal Challenge 'Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials' is to achieve a resource – and water – efficient and climate change resilient economy and society, the protection and sustainable management of natural resources and ecosystems, and a sustainable supply and use of raw materials, in order to meet the needs of a growing global population within the limits of the planet's natural resources and eco-systems.
This call includes many topics covering issues such as climate services, food systems, water resources, sustainable production of raw materials, and adaptive re-use of cultural heritage, for example:
- Multi-stakeholder dialogue platform to promote innovation with nature to address societal challenges
- Innovative financing, business and governance models for adaptive re-use of cultural heritage
- Cultural heritage as a driver for sustainable growth
- Operationalising insurance value of ecosystems
