The Seventh Barents Regional Road Directors Meeting in Syktyvkar, Russia
September 23, the Forum on road safety in the Barents region started in Syktyvkar. In the frame of the Forum, a meeting of the road administrations directors from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia (Komi, Karelia, Arkhangelsk region) was held. Representatives of Russian federal agencies also participated in the Forum.
Directors discussed problems and perspectives of highway engineering. Participants noted the need to always refer to new research results and new technologies. The importance of competent preliminary work and compliance with all regulations within the construction were highlighted during the meeting.
