Thematic Network on Arctic Coastal Communities for Sustainability hosted by University of the Faroe Island participated in workshop "On Time - Dimensions of marine and coastal global environmental change" held on 20-21th of October 2016 in Stockholm.

Lau Blaxekjær, leader of the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Coastal Communities for Sustainability, was presenting an inspiring speach about education-research-dialogue in the Arctic. The workshop "On Time - Dimensions of marine and coastal global environmental change" was jointly organized by the Swedish Secretariat for Environmental Earth System Sciences (SSEESS), the Integrated History and Future of People on Earth (IHOPE), and the Earth System Governance Project. The aim of the workshop was to bring together researchers from the larger Future Earth community who are working with complex maritime and coastal environments and identify new transdisciplinary research approaches to current challenges to these environments caused by global environmental change.
