UArctic Vice-President Indigenous appointed an Ambassador for the Arctic Inspiration Prize

Gerald Anderson, Director of Development and Engagement, Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Vice President Indigenous with the University of the Arctic was recently appointed an Ambassador for the Arctic Inspiration Prize.
The Arctic Inspiration Prize recognizes and promotes the extraordinary contribution made by teams in the gathering of arctic knowledge and their plans to implement this knowledge to real world applications for the benefit of the Canadian Arctic, Arctic Peoples and therefore Canada as a whole. The $1 million prize was established by Sima Sharifi and Arnold Witzig / S. and A. Inspiration Foundation. As an Ambassador, Mr. Anderson’s role will be to spread the word about the Prize, seek out teams and projects, nominate, encourage, help, and mentor teams.
