International Permafrost/ Natural Hazard Summer Field School in Yakutia, 2016

The UArctic Thematic Network on Permafrost/Natural Hazards offers an International Permafrost/Natural Hazards Summer Field School (5 ECTS) in Yakutia, 1-20 August 2016. The course welcomes senior bachelor and graduate students. Application deadline is 15 April 2016.
The Summer Field School will offer insights into permafrost history, permafrost related natural hazards, methods of permaforst observations, databases and their use, permafrost landforms, climate change, interaction between carbon and water etc.
There is no tuition fee for this course.
The course will be taught by partners of the Thematic Networks on Permafrost and Natural Hazards.
