Model Factory in Ekaterinburg, Russia
Ural Federal University Innovation Infrastructure together with McKinsey & Company and United Machinery Plants Group has been developing the first Russian «Model Factory» in Ekaterinburg. It is aimed to provide enterprise workers and students with training in modern methods of industrial enterprise organization and workforce productivity increase.
There are 15 model factories in the world. They operate on the base of universities in Europe, United States and Singapore. On the factories, production process and services are close to reality.
The Model factory in Ekaterinburg simulates production of pneumatic cylinders. The station is equipped with high-tech machines. The same equipment is used at the Model Factory in the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany).
