International conference on protected areas in Petrozavodsk, Russia
Karelian Research Centre RAS will hold an international conference "International and interregional connectivity of protected areas in the European North", November 13–17, 2017
The following major issues are suggested for the conference:
- Development of the PA network in the European North
- Green belts as key elements of the system of protected areas in the European North
- Natural complexes of North European PAs
- Historical and cultural heritage of PAs in the European North
- Environmental education and awareness, eco-tourism

- Second announcement – March 15, 2017
- Registration of applications begins – March 15, 2017
- Third announcement (info about hotels, transport, etc.) – August 2017
- Registration of applications ends – July 1, 2017
- Abstract submission ends – September 15, 2017
- Shaping of the programme – October 15, 2017
- Fourth announcement (with conference programme) – October 15, 2017
- Assembling of the book of abstracts – November 1, 2017
