Russian Scientific Conference on Indigenous Languages, Literatures and Folklore in Yakutia, December 2017

Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia together with the North-Eastern Federal University invite you to take part in the scientific conference "Contemporary state and prospects of studies in languages, literature, and folklore of the indigenous peoples of the Russian North, Siberia, and the Far East" which is to be held on December 22, 2017 in the city of Yakutsk, Russia. The conference is a part of the UArctic Thematic Network "Arctic Lingua" activities and is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Institute of the Humanities and the Indigenous Peoples of the North.

The program will include the following sections:

  • Languages of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East
  • Folklore of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East
  • Literature of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East
  • St. Petersburg – Yakutia: history and contemporary state of scientific and cultural cooperation

Venue: North-Eastern Federal University, city of Yakutsk, Russia

There is no participation fee.

Conference materials will be published and included in the Russian Index of Scientific Citations.

Presentations and articles are accepted until December 10, 2017.
