Register for the SIOS Online Conference on Earth Observation and Remote Sensing
Registration is open for the online Conference on Earth Observation and Remote Sensing in Svalbard on 12-14 October organized by the Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System (SIOS).
The SIOS Remote Sensing Service is designed to offer researchers a single-point of contact for satellite data and information for Svalbard while drawing on the combined knowledge of the network of SIOS partner institutions.
As a reaction on the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020, SIOS-KC in cooperation with the Remote Sensing Working Group organised an online conference on remote sensing applications in June the same year. It has now become an annual tradition to host the online conference by the SIOS-KC, the Remote Sensing Working Group, and guest editors of SIOS’s special issue on EO/RS/GI.
The aim of the online conference is to:
- Promote the work of PhD students, postdocs, researchers, senior scientists, and academics who are actively contributing to the science of Svalbard
- Review the state-of-the-art Earth Observation and Remote Sensing applications in Svalbard and
- Provide a social experience to the Svalbard scientific community
