Arctic Speaker Series - Bill Ritchie-Visual artist/printmaker
Arctic Institute of North America at University of Calgary is pleased to announce their partnership with Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants for the online delivery of the Arctic Speaker Series. This event will be presented on the AINA YouTube Channel.
Bill Ritchie is a visual artist/printmaker living and working in St. Michael’s Newfoundland. From 1988- 2019 he was Arts Advisor/ Studio Manager for Kinngait Studios, West Baffin Co-op in Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut. He will discuss, Holding Down Shadows: The disconnect between discourse and practice in contemporary Inuit Art.
