UArctic member visit to Western Canada

UArctic's Chief Communications Officer Scott Forrest (University of Lapland) and Vice-President Mobility Isabelle (UiT - The Arctic University of Norway) began a series of meetings at UArctic members in western Canada with a visit to Yukon University.

While visiting Whitehorse the pair met with northern Canadian north2north coordinator Faye Canty, Assembly representative Erica Bourdon, as well as YukonU Associate Vice-President of Research Development Bronwyn Hancock and Associate Vice-President External Blake Buckle. 

YukonU will be playing an even more important role in UArctic, coordinating many functions related to Canada's support of activities such as the UArctic Vice-President Indigenous and Canadian participation in north2north student and staff exchange.

The visit continues this week in Prince George  at the University of Northern British Columbia, before concluding next week at Simon Fraser University. and Vancouver Island University.
