Survey: Can wind sailing tourism improve marine research in the Arctic?

Thesis Visual Survey Research Survey Version

At the University Centre of the Westfjords, Iceland, a new master thesis project is launching a survey from September to October aimed at marine researchers working in the Arctic.

The goal is to study the feasibility of using sailing companies in marine research by analyzing what has already been done on this topic, identify the success and weaknesses of each encountered project, and study the view of different actor groups on this subject. The aim is to provide results that would help strengthen this field, as well as implementing new projects linking the actors of the sailing tourism industry and marine research institutions.

If you are a marine researcher working in any possible field, feel free to take the survey by clicking on this link: https://forms.gle/zZFD8LHxDadPAXy28.

This research is also looking for contacts in the sailing tourism industry (skippers, owners, and former guests). If you want to contribute in any possible way, do not hesitate to send questions/notes to Hugo Vancraenenbroeck. Contact: hugo21@uw.is
