The first Critical Arctic Studies Symposium, Rovaniemi, Finland
The symposium is taking place at the Arctic Centre, in Arktikum building, Rovaniemi, Finland, from 10 to 12 October 2023.
Theme of the symposium is “Post-Human Dialogues: Rethinking human-nature relations in and through the Arctic”.
Around 40 people are participating the symposium at the Arctic Centre and several more online.

The symposium is co-organised by the UArctic Thematic Network on Critical Arctic Studies and “A Planetary Approach to Global Arctic Politics” project, funded by the University of Lapland.
