Læra Institute at 8th UK Arctic Science Conference

Læra Institute for Circumpolar Education took an active part in the 8th UK Arctic Science Conference, convening a session on "Innovation in Arctic education and public outreach" together with the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia.
The session took place at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge on Wednesday 13th September, and it included three presentations:
- "Teaching and learning through place, people and practices: A global intersection of righting relations in education through story" — from Anita Lafferty of the University of Alberta
- "Introducing the Scotland Model Arctic Council"— a report on the 2022 and 2023 Scotland Model Arctic Council simulations for undergraduate students, from Anthony Speca of Polar Aspect
- "Introducing the Læra Institute for Circumpolar Education" — an introduction to the Læra Institute for the UK academy engaged in Arctic science, and an invitation to get involved with the UArctic and with the educational and pedagogical work, from the Managing Director Anthony Speca
