The Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Québec is offering two paid 4–8-week internships, each providing $5,000 CAD in funding, for Indigenous undergraduate and master’s students in science or engineering to gain hands-on experience researching photocatalysis for wastewater remediation and hydrogen production, with applications open to English- or French-speaking students through the INRS website.

The Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Québec, Canada, is offering two paid internship opportunities for Indigenous undergraduate and master’s students in science or engineering interested in exploring solutions to environmental and energy challenges through research.
Interns will join a multidisciplinary research team investigating photocatalysis for wastewater remediation and hydrogen production. Photocatalysis uses specialized materials to convert solar energy into chemical energy, enabling reactions with applications in environmental remediation and clean energy.
The internships run for 4–8 weeks, with flexible start dates. Participants will receive safety and equipment training, take part in ongoing research activities, and gain hands-on experience working alongside researchers in physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering. Each internship includes $5,000 CAD in funding to help cover travel, accommodation, and living expenses.
Applicants must be Indigenous undergraduate or master’s students studying science or engineering and have proficiency in either English or French.
