Call for travel grants for students attending the UArctic Congress 2026 and the Ocean Connectivity Conference. Students whose abstracts have been accepted and will be presented are welcome to apply for funding support to travel to Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.

The University of the Arctic is inviting students from UArctic member institutions, whose abstracts will be presented during the UArctic Congress 2026 and the Ocean Connectivity Conference, to apply for funding support to travel to the UArctic Congress 2026 and the Ocean Connectivity Conference. The UArctic Congress 2026 and the Ocean Connectivity Conference will be held in Tórshavn on the Faroe Islands between 26 and 29 May 2026. Indigenous students from UArctic member institutions will be prioritized in the allocation of the grants if we receive more applications than available grants.

Students who have accepted abstracts are eligible to apply for funding to cover their travel (up to a maximum fixed sum, see table below), accommodation and registration costs for their active participation at the UArctic Congress 2026 and the Ocean Connectivity Conference. In addition to the grant, a 20% discount will be given on flights with Atlantic Airways (terms and limitations apply).
