Arctic Art Forum
The Arctic Art Forum is an interdisciplinary platform for exchange among artists and cultural practitioners from the High North. The fifth Arctic Art Forum will take place from 7–26 March 2026 at the Climate House in Oslo.
Initiated and led by artists, the Forum emphasizes people-to-people collaboration, grassroots engagement, and the development of alternative, sustainable narratives through artistic research and knowledge production. At the core of its ethos are an ecofeminist perspective and a commitment to sustaining dialogue amid today’s challenging sociopolitical and environmental conditions.
The multidimensional Forum is hosted by the Arctic Art Institute, a member of the Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design (ASAD) network. Members of the network will also participate in the programme.
Functioning as a dynamic meeting place, the Forum brings together exhibitions, performances, and discussions. It provides a platform for forward-looking cultural practitioners from across the Arctic region, the Nordic countries, and international contexts.
The fifth Arctic Art Forum will take place from 7–26 March 2026 at the Climate House in Oslo. This edition focuses on climate change in the Arctic and its everyday impacts on people, animals, and fragile ecosystems. The theme highlights irreversible transformations that often remain invisible from the capitals where political and economic decisions are made.
Highlights of the programme:
7 March 12.00 Opening of the exhibition Climate Microchanges.
14 March 12.00-17.00 Symposium: How to talk about the shared ecological urgency?
15 March 14.30-16.00 Movie screening and Q&A with artists Ruth Maclennan (UK), Stein Henningsen and Ina Otzko (NO).
