Arts for Arctic Business Project Showcased at Entrepreneurship Education Conference
The "Arts for Arctic Business" project was presented at the 3E Conference 2026, held on May 20–22 in Bodø, Norway.
The theme of the conference was “Developing Change Agents through Entrepreneurship Education,” highlighting the urgent need to empower individuals with the skills and mindset to drive positive change for a better future and making entrepreneurship education more relevant than ever.
Fjóla Björk Karlsdóttir, Maria Huhmarniemi, Bjørn Willy Åmo and Kjartan Sigurdsson presented an action research project aimed at developing interdisciplinary entrepreneurship education. The project brought together art and business students from Nord University, the University of Akureyri, and the University of Lapland. The project was part of the activities by Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design (ASAD) network within the University of the Arctic.
3E Conference took place in the Arctic landscape of Bodø, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship education in regions facing depopulation and environmental change. Entrepreneurship education in the Arctic can play a crucial role in building resilient communities and enabling students to shape their own futures.
