Open call: Paasisavut 2026, the Greenlandic research communication competition for PhDs

Is your PhD project related to Greenland? Share your research with audiences across Greenland through Paasisavut 2026!

Applications are currently open for Paasisavut, Greenland’s research communication competition for PhD students and recent PhD graduates.

Researchers from anywhere in the world can apply if their PhD project is directly related to Greenland. The competition is open to both PhD students and researchers who have completed their PhD within the last two years.

The application deadline is 1 September 2026.

Interested in learning more before applying? Join Arctic Hub’s online information meeting on 16 June 2026, where you can hear more about the competition, the application process, and what it means to be a finalist. Registration is available at www.paasisavut.gl.

The five finalists will receive professional communication training and coaching, and Arctic Hub covers some travel and accommodation costs related to participation.

The grand finale of Paasisavut 2026 will take place at Katuaq in Nuuk on 13 November 2026.
