The Arctic Institute's 2026 Polar Disaster Risk Reduction and Response Series launched

The Arctic Institute's 2026 Polar Disaster Risk Reduction and Response Series has been launched, led by Ilan Kelman and Jeevan Toor from the Thematic Network on Disasters and Natural Hazards.

Over the next month, articles reporting and summarising research on polar disaster-related topics will be published, covering a range from gender-based violence to volcanoes and climate change. The authors are based around the world and are at all career stages.
