Dr Leah Macaden Awarded Prestigious RCSI Fellowship
Dr Leah Macaden, Senior Lecturer in Nursing Studies and Vice-Lead of the Northern Nursing Education Thematic Network (NNEN), has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship Ad Eundem by the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).
Conferred at a ceremony in Dublin on 8 December 2025, she was one of only ten recipients worldwide to receive this honour.
The Fellowship Ad Eundem recognises outstanding contributions, exceptional leadership, and significant impact in nursing, midwifery, or related sciences. This recognition highlights Dr Macaden’s leadership within the NNEN network and her wider contribution to advancing nursing and positively influencing health and society.
