Call for Papers: 2027 World Social Science Association in Denver, CO
The World Social Science Association (WSSA) will hold its 69th Annual Meeting from March 31 to April 3, 2027, at the Hilton Denver City Center in Denver, Colorado, USA.
The conference is now open for early registration and presentation and paper proposals, with scholars and experts from across the social sciences and related fields invited to participate.
A new Northern, Arctic and Circumpolar Studies section will be introduced at the 2027 conference, alongside 25 other sections covering a wide range of social science disciplines and research areas. The new section provides an opportunity for researchers working on northern, Arctic and circumpolar topics to present their work, exchange knowledge and connect with colleagues from around the world.
The American Indian & Indigenous Studies section is also seeking proposals addressing topics including history, culture, environmental issues, Indigenous education, politics, spirituality, sociology and the contemporary experiences of Indigenous peoples in North America. Student proposals are welcome.
The 2027 conference will place additional emphasis on students and first-time conference attendees, with dedicated opportunities for networking and social activities. A Student Poster Competition will also be held, with prizes awarded for first place, runner-up and honourable mention. Student posters will be presented during a dedicated session on the morning of April 1.
The World Social Science Association brings together scholars and experts from multiple disciplines in the social sciences and related fields. The association also publishes The Social Science Journal, an international journal of social science research. Its mission is to foster interdisciplinary scholarship, advance research and service, and highlight the contribution of social science research to policy development, teaching, learning and communities.
