Government Funded Projects

Government Funded Projects

The University of the Arctic have in separate partnerships with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, Norwegian Ministry of Education and the Indigenous & Northern Collaborative Research & Education fund and Relationship Development Initiatives fund, been funding research projects concerning arctic issues. This funding of projects between UArctic and these project funders are with the aim of creating more connections and academic opportunities among UArctic member institutions and funding projects with focus on research in the Arctic that promotes academic opportunities and projects focusing on social work to better communities in the region.

These projects are not only providing opportunities for UArctic universities located in the arctic but also for UArctic universities located outside the arctic region to partner with universities in the arctic on projects regarding various topics and bringing the expertise from these non-arctic universities to the arctic and create more academic opportunities in the region.
