north2north is the mobility program of UArctic. By applying for a north2north mobility, you will get a unique opportunity to study in a different part of the North at a participating Higher Education Institution situated in Canada, USA, Kingdom of Denmark (Greenland, the Faroe Islands or Denmark), Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, France or Australia.
By participating in an exchange abroad, you will learn about new places, cultures and languages. You will also experience the learning environment of a college or a university in another country and gain knowledge about the North.

Please note that combining north2north grants from different countries within the same semester is not permitted.
How can I apply for a north2north grant?
Contact your north2north institutional coordinator to ask about how you can apply for a grant and what the application procedures and deadlines are.
A north2north grant will not cover all expenses for travel, accommodation and other living costs. You will need to have additional funding.
Tuition fee waivers
If you choose to go on a north2north exchange to Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Australia or Reykjavik University (in Iceland), you will need to apply for a tuition fee waiver. A tuition fee waiver enables you to study without having to pay the tuition fees at the host institution. The number of tuition waivers is limited, and since there is no guarantee that you will obtain a tuition waiver, we recommend you ask the north2north coordinator at your home institution if there is a bilateral agreement that provides tuition fee waivers between your home institution and the host institution. It is also possible to go on a north2north exchange as a fee-paying student.
You will not have to pay tuition fees if you choose to go on a north2north exchange to Finland, the Faroe Islands, France, Greenland, Iceland (except for Reykjavik University), Norway or Sweden.
If you choose to go on a north2north exchange to Denmark, you must ask the north2north institutional coordinator at your home institution if there already is an existing bilateral agreement in place or if one can be made. National Law in Denmark requires a bilateral agreement for any exchange to Denmark. In case you home institution does not have a bilateral agreement with the Danish institution of your choice, you will need to apply for admission at the host institution directly, pay tuition fees and apply for a residence permit in Denmark (if you come from outside an EU/EEA country).
