Funding Opportunities

Students from UArctic member institutions whose abstracts have been accepted and will be presented are welcome to apply for funding support to travel to Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.

UArctic and the Arctic Circle are pleased to open the call for nominations for the 2026 Frederik Paulsen Arctic Academic Action Award. The Award includes a 100,000 euro grant to a promising idea that addresses climate change through concrete actions and plans. The call is open until April 30, 2026.

Since applications opened on December 5th, the challenge has already seen a strong and encouraging level of interest, with many projects submitted, particularly from startup profiles.

Based on a grant from the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (DAHES), UArctic and DAHES offer funding for network and education projects and encourage engagement between member institutions within the Kingdom, as well as internationally, for these UArctic activities.
