The leader of the Thematic Network on Environmental Training and Education for Sustainable Development of the Arctic (NETESDA), Olga Alekseevich visited partners in Norway, Aug 5-10, 2012. The main goal of her visit main goal was to discuss further joint activities on the network development with international partners.
In Oslo she met with Svein D.Mathiesen and discussed an opportunity of collaboration between their projects. Later there was a very friendly meeting in Bellona Office, during which both sides realized not only possibility, but necessity of joint activities. During two days in beautiful Arendal, several meetings in GRID-Arendal took place as well. “Now NETESDA is much more concrete and focused on indigenous issues. Due to our experience of NETESDA Field School 2012 we ended up in severe Russian tundra very excited, of course, but what’s even more important – full of new ideas about what should be done in the framework of NETESDA in 2013. These new ideas brought me to Norway. And people here now feel really involved and excited about possible future cooperation ”- says Olga Alekseevich.
