Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design Exhibition in Kautokeino, Norway

From November 7th to 27th 2014, The UArctic Thematic Network, Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design (ASAD) are hosting the Relate North 2014, Art Heritage and Identity Exhibition at the Riddo Duottar Museum in Kautokeino, Norway.

The Art Heritage and Identity Exhibition is the third edition of an annual event, which aims to promote Northern cultural diversity and heritage, and share contemporary and innovative practices and knowledge exchange, in the fields of art and design teaching, learning and research.

32 artists from 9 countries presented their paintings, photographs, installations, video and media-installations, graphics, and sculptures in the exhibition. The exhibition was built on a dialogue between contemporary art and Northern indigenous arts and crafts.

The exhibition is a collaboration with the University of Lapland, the Sámi University College and the UArctic Thematic Network, Indigenous Arts and Crafts.
