Arctic Design Week 2015 begins in Rovaniemi, Finland

Arctic Design Week 2015, the world’s northernmost design week, takes place on 16-22 February 2015 in Rovaniemi, Finland. The theme of the 7th design week is Transparency, which explores the role of design in the sustainable development of the Arctic.

The Arctic Design Week program includes seminars, exhibitions, shows, pop-up design shops and a restaurant. The UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design (ASAD) also participates in many events and activities, including hosting their own network meeting/seminar "Value of Arctic Design – Demonstrating the Impact".

Main organizers of the event are the City of Rovaniemi, Rovaniemi Regional Development Agency, and the University of Lapland and its Faculty of Art and Design.
