UArctic Participates in Arctic Circle Forum 2016 in Quebec City
Focused discussions on Sustainable Development in Northern Regions was the aim of the Arctic Circle Forum held in Quebec City from December 11-13, 2016. UArctic, joined other Northern and Arctic development stakeholders to discuss best practices and partnership-based approaches for sustainable development in the North.
Stakeholders shared experiences, expertise and concerns on issues surrounding social, economic and environmental development of the Arctic region.
UArctic Board member, Edwin Bourget of Laval University, Quebec commented “the Forum was a superb meeting of quality presentations and discussions with various key Canadian organizations and international players. The Forum provided an excellent networking opportunity and the UArctic booth attracted interest of a number of participants.”
