The morning begins with the last of the thematic science plenaries. The first of these highlights Meteorological Cooperation, with the main keynote "From Vertigo to Blue Velvet –Connotations between movies and climate change" by Professor Timo Vesala (University of Helsinki). This is followed by the keynote on Climate Change, "Climate Change and Social Resilience - Lessons form Northwest Greenland" by Professor Kirsten Hastrup (University of Copenhagen).
The day - and the Congress - concludes with the Closing plenary featuring a keynote speech by President Tarja Halonen (Finland) and a panel discussion on the goals of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with a particular focus on gender equality and climate change.
