Academic North – project aims to promote the proficiency, competitiveness and well-being of the northern parts of the Nordic countries by furthering academic mobility and employment in a socially sustainable way.

You are most welcome to join our networking breakfast and an Arctic Frontiers side-event – an armchair conversation in Arctic Frontiers conference 24.1.2019 in Tromsø University Campus! Please see the: Academic North: Final Program 24.1.

We will hear success stories on cross-border mobility, but also elaborate challenges related to it. We will discuss on a role that of human resource services in the Arctic Five Universities region could organizationally and jointly take in an aim to support mobility aspirations of academics as well as their employability across borders. Furthermore, we will outline visions of how technology and connectivity may enhance academic employment, collaboration and cross-border mobility in a joint Arctic North labor market? How do we organise and utilize benefits of 'brain circulation’ in the Arctic North?
