The concept of extremes describes the sensitivity of the everchanging Arctic environment and interaction between human/non-human actors aiming to find appropriate solutions towards a sustainable future and wellbeing in the Arctic region. All submissions were organised into 5 thematic sessions grouped by the topics such as art and design education, artistic responses to environmental challenges, human-nature and human-animal relations and encounters, architecture and design in the Arctic region.

The 9th symposium Relate North was arranged by the National Research Tomsk State University in collaboration with the ASAD thematic network coordinated by the University of Lapland.

The recordings from all days of the symposium are available here.

As an essential part of the symposium, there was a virtual exhibition launched on the 10th of November.
